Why choose prefabricated buildings?
Prefabricated construction is extremely popular worldwide. Although in Poland relatively few investors opt for this option, the trend is gradually changing - according to a Roland Berger report, by the end of 2022 the market share of prefabricated buildings will increase by nearly 38%.
What are the arguments in favour of investing in prefabricated facilities? Among the main factors determining the choice of modules is the completion time. Compared to properties erected using traditional methods, it is around 50% shorter. However, these are not all the arguments to consider. Why choose prefabricated products?
Prefabricated elements are components that are manufactured under strict conditions. They are used, among other things, to create various types of buildings. They are characterised by very good technical parameters and the quality of their manufacture is supervised by a team of specialists, including designers and engineers. Investors recognise the many benefits associated with building houses using prefabricated modules.
A stress-free investment
The use of modules does not require much commitment on the part of the client. The work on site consists only of assembling the ordered parts. There are also no problems with a protracted schedule - as investments are not affected by weather conditions or problems with unreliable repair crews.
Enormous design possibilities
Prefabricated structures are suitable for creating buildings from scratch, but can also be used to adapt infrastructure in existing buildings. They are used as superstructures or extensions. They are also suitable for installation in hard-to-reach areas, such as a patio or roof.
Building for years to come
Objects created from prefabricated parts are characterised by great durability and can therefore be used for many decades. Particularly noteworthy is the durable load-bearing structure of the Climatic modules, which consists of welded hot-rolled or cold-formed steel profiles. Their cross-sections are determined on the basis of static calculations. In addition, the realised elements comply with the European standards PN EN 1090-1+A1:2012 and also have fire protection.
Low operating costs
The use of prefabricated buildings generates enormous savings in terms of daily use. The buildings are perfectly designed. The steel floor sections are filled with PU foam to provide adequate thermal protection. The ventilated façade is fixed in such a way as to eliminate the formation of thermal bridges. The roof, on the other hand, has thermal insulation.
Ecological solutions
Choosing a prefabricated dwelling also involves environmental concerns. A minimal amount of dust is emitted during construction. In turn, technologies that reduce energy consumption are used during the production phase. It is also worth mentioning that the buildings are equipped with modern heating and ventilation systems.
Prefabricated buildings - advantages and disadvantages
In addition to the above-mentioned advantages, investors value modular construction for the customisation of projects - single-family houses, offices, specialised buildings, hotels, schools, crèches and dormitories are built from prefabricated elements. Comprehensiveness is also important. Contractors - including Climatic, take care of the cost estimates, project documentation. They also manage subcontractors, logistics processes, and additionally participate in the acceptance of investments.
The disadvantages of the solution include the need for convenient access to the property and parking space - it must be remembered that the prefabricated elements are delivered by truck. As modular construction is not widespread in Poland, there is often a problem finding a specialised company or matching the start date of the work.
Opt for prefabricated products
More and more people are consciously investing in houses made up of prefabricated modules. Why choose prefabricated construction? First and foremost because these types of buildings in public administration are durable and quick to assemble. They have all the necessary amenities, e.g. high-quality heating, cooling and air-conditioning units. Their advantages also include excellent insulation and a lack of thermal bridges, which results in numerous savings. Compared to traditional solutions, additional storeys can be added without difficulty or the layout of rooms can be changed (partition walls are fixed in the drywall system, which allows their free configuration).
