ACOUSTICS OF MODULAR BUILDINGS

The modular buildings produced by Climatic are designed and constructed in such a way that the noise levels to which the occupants or people in the vicinity will be exposed do not pose a threat to their health, and enable them to work, rest and sleep in satisfactory conditions.

Climatic's designers consider each case:

location and functional arrangement of the building

acoustic characteristics (including the location of internal and external potential noise sources).

acoustic properties of structures and materials for building partitions and their individual components.

conditions for placing sound insulation for individual rooms

At the client's request, we accompany the project with the relevant calculations confirming compliance with the applicable standards and regulations.

Thermal insulation of modular buildings

Climatic strives for energy-efficient design of healthy and comfortable indoor environments in manufactured modular buildings.

We realise this idea by installing high-end heating, ventilation and cooling equipment. The installation of LED lighting and the use of alternative sources of primary energy guarantee the user low building operating costs. To minimise heat loss, we have focused on eliminating modular thermal bridges from our buildings.

The modern production line at our plant in Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski allows Climatic to fill the steel profiles of the floor with closed-cell PU foam. PU foam is also used as a flooring insulating material, providing not only thermal protection, but also protection of the floor against external moisture. The installation of the ventilated façade and the window and door frames based on the 'Climatic bridgeless structural composite' is carried out in a way that eliminates thermal bridges occurring on the fixing elements, and the thermal bridges of the steel substructure are eliminated with properly executed external insulation. Thanks to these technical procedures, Climatic can offer its clients partitions with the following U-values (W/m2-K)

External wall U-value = 0.2 (W/m2-K)

Floor U-value = 0.23 (W/m2-K)

Roof U-value = 0.15 (W/m2-K)

BUILDING AIRTIGHTNESS

The air tightness of a building is determined by the n₅₀ factor. It represents the number of times the entire air in the building can be exchanged in one hour at a pressure difference of 50 Pa between inside and outside.

The airtightness parameter n₅₀ is measured during the airtightness test (Blower Door Test).

According to the applicable regulations for buildings with mechanical ventilation or air conditioning, the n₅₀ factor should be n₅₀ < 1.5 1/h.

The airtightness of a steel-framed modular building is n₅₀ ≤ 0.6 1/h, so modular buildings are 2.5 times more airtight and therefore much more energy efficient, reducing the operational carbon footprint.

Why is airtightness important?

1. Energy efficiency: Reducing heat loss reduces energy consumption for heating and cooling the building.

2. Occupant comfort: Prevents draughts that may be experienced as uncomfortable.

3. air quality: An airtight building prevents an uncontrolled influx of polluted air from outside.

Fire protection for modular buildings

The Climatic modular system has been subjected to rigorous testing and research procedures at the Building Research Institute, on the basis of which the Building Research Institute has classified the Climatic modular buildings as buildings which meet the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of 12.04.2002. on technical conditions to be met by buildings and their location, min. in the scope of public buildings classified in the ZL II human risk category, which - with the exception of high-rise buildings - places them in the building fire resistance class - B, which translates into min. R / E / I parameters:

R 120 superstructure

REI 60 ceilings

External wall EI 60

EI 30 interior wall

Roof (construction) R 30

Roofing E 30

All structures offered by Climatic meet the requirements for fire protection. In many cases the structures are protected according to higher classes than the legal requirements.
