Didactic building no. 2 - Military University of Technology in Warsaw
The project consisted of the construction of a modular Didactic Building No. 2 for the Military University of Technology in Warsaw under the ‘design and build’ formula.
The teaching rooms have been designed and constructed with the assumption that the building can be adapted in the future to accommodate the needs of WAT cadets. The 15 teaching rooms spread over three floors will be converted into 30 academic rooms with bathrooms in the future.
The five-storey building without a basement has been constructed using mixed technology: the ground floor will be built using traditional technology and the remaining four above-ground floors will be constructed using modular technology, with a welded steel structure made of cold-formed profiles. Vertical communication is provided by a staircase and a lift enabling access to each floor for people with physical disabilities.
