Extension of the Operating Theatre Block in Grodzisk Mazowiecki – Module Installation Nearing Completion
At the Western Hospital in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, the installation of modules forming the extension of the operating theatre block is currently underway. The structure is placed on elevated columns, creating a striking visual effect. The works are progressing according to schedule, with completion planned for 14 March.
As part of the investment, 14 modules with a total area of nearly 900 m² are being installed. The transport and assembly of the modules began on 11 March and will take just three days.
The extended section of the operating theatre block will include, among others, a vascular surgery operating room with an area of approximately 60 m², equipped with a ceiling-mounted angiograph, as well as a neurosurgery operating room with an area of approximately 90 m². The facility will also include a recovery room, staff rooms, and the necessary technical and support spaces.
The use of steel-frame modular technology significantly shortens the duration of the most critical stage of construction. The individual building elements were previously manufactured at the Climatic production facility in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski, from where they were delivered to the site as largely completed 3D modules, covering up to 90% of the building scope — including the structure, partitions, electrical systems, HVAC installations, finishing works, and more. This approach allows the work on the hospital site to be carried out efficiently while keeping the impact on the hospital’s day-to-day operations to a minimum.
The project in Grodzisk Mazowiecki is a distinctive yet another example of the application of modular technology in the expansion of healthcare infrastructure — particularly where construction time and the predictability of the building process are of critical importance.
